Project Description
Acting as both the Project Manager and Lead Land Use Planner, NBLC successfully guided a highly skilled team of design professionals through a Zoning By-law Amendment process to facilitate the approval of two slender 31 and 41-storey “stacked glass-box” residential towers, comprising of 750 dwelling units. The project also features an 8,000 sf gallery space for OCAD University and grade-related retail and restaurant space occupying the ground floors of the podiums.
Now marketing its final residential phase (“Studio2 on Richmond”), the development will soon comprise over 700,000 square feet of floor area and stretch across an entire block extending from Richmond Street West south to Nelson Street and east from Duncan Street. The project has been designed by Quadrangle Architects with LEED Certification in mind, featuring an inter-connected series of green roofs, a design that allows for deep natural light penetration and efficient and recycled energy systems.
