NBLC worked with MMM Group to provide a development forecast and financial analysis for the proposed LRT service extending from Downtown Brampton to Port Credit Village. The new transit service would rapid transit through the core of the region’s most built up area and help incentify development in the downtown areas of Brampton and Mississauga. NBLC considered the level of service, including capacity, headways and station design and locations to provide forecasts of development. This analysis helped refine the station locations and route alignments in a way that maximizes their benefit to the local and regional areas. Our forecast was then used to develop estimates of tax assessment and development charge revenue for the area municipalities.
