Project Description

NBLC has been retained by the City of Brampton to explore opportunities to accelerate employment growth and affordable housing supply.  The assignment focuses on how a Community Improvement Plan (CIP) can deliver financial incentives, non-financial tools, and other municipal powers to attract more employment to the City.  While office development is the currently the focus, other strategies to revitalize and encourage investment in aging industrial areas are also being explored.  Integration with the Region of Peel’s affordable housing incentive program is also being assessed, relative to the benefit of creating a separate CIP.
