Project Description
NBLC was retained by George Brown College to provide an assessment of the demand and potential feasibility of a new student residence as part of the emerging waterfront campus.
This study examined the profile of students that are planned to be accommodated at the waterfront campus, their housing needs and preferences, and compared them to the housing choices that are currently and likely to be available. This included interviews will local developers of rental and condominium projects. The study concluded with recommendations with respect to suite design, pricing and amenities, as well as the total project size. George Brown proceeded with development that resulted in a new state of the art development (the George) as part of the Pan Am Athletes Village.
