Project Description

NBLC was initially retained by Canada Lands Corporation (CLC) in 2007 to provide a market and financial assessment of its plans to redevelop the former Canadian Forces Rockcliffe Military Base in the City of Ottawa for a mix of residential and commercial uses. At the time, extensive planning work had been initiated by the CLC, in collaboration with the City, to produce a compact and sustainable community design.

Starting in 2012, NBLC has ongoing work with CLC in assisting with the completion of the master plan for Rockcliffe, including residential market guidance. This work involves the appropriate type and mix of housing, continual market updates, developing a financial model to guide the efficiency of the plan, ensuring that costs and revenues are balanced, directed phasing, and providing estimates on land value and profit to CLC.
